After the liberation of Dashisha town, Syrian Democratic Forces are advancing southwards.
Reaching Iraq-Syria border within the scope of the second phase of Jazeera Storm campaign, Syrian Democratic Forces are continuing to advance in the territory south of al-Dashisha town starting from Sunday. Some hamlets and farms have already been liberated. The area is a notorious ISIS stronghold through which the group brought fighters, logistical supply and ammunition into Syria for years.
The region has key functions for ISIS to be able to continue to carry out its attacks inside Syrian territory. Liberating Baqhouz village, SDF have managed to cut the supply line of ISIS on the eastern banks of Euphrates earlier June.
